Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's... a new set photo from Man of Steel, Zack Snyder's Superman reboot/reimaigning/revolution. Last time we got a look at some set pictures from Man of Steel, we were lucky enough to see lead actor Henry Cavill in all his spandex-clad glory. Henry Cavill's Man of Steel Superman costume has inspired no shortage of discussion on that original post, so go over and make your voice heard!
Ologists, even though Ology's resident superhero movie expert Emily Cheever tends to prefer the Dark Knight over the Man of Steel, we geeks love all our superheroes equally. (Except for Aquaman, but really, that's just common sense.) Therefore, we've decided to hijack Screen and bring you this set photo. It's really exciting, if not super action-packed. Just imagine Supes picking up this Metropolis Police Department cruiser and chucking it at General Zod. Just imagine!

I'm getting a real Dark Knight vibe from shots like this; the attention to detail is restoring my hope in the Superman film franchise. Sure, Superman Returns was more than a little shaky, but it looks like Snyder has the potential to restore the DC's paragon's former glory. The cop car has a familiar motto on the side--translated from Latin, it reads, "Truth and Justice." That kind of little touch is exactly what makes or breaks a movie for the diehard fans. If you're sharp enough to get the cop cars right, you might just have a shot at redeeming DC's leading man.
Do you guys think Man of Steel is going to be the Superman equivalent of Batman Begins or even The Dark Knight? Is that even a good comparison to make? Do you dig Snyder's superheroic adventures, or would you rather have seen another director take the reins? You gotta talk back in the comments right right now! Our eyes are peeled for Man of Steel spoilers and we'll be here with the very latest right up until the film's (admittedly rather distant) release date--June 14, 2013. Maybe if Superman flies around the Earth really fast...
