After years of recurring celebrity faces covering mainstream women's mags, Elle is going old school. For the first time in eight years it's a model's face that graces the cover of Elle magazine's October issue and it's not just one, but four models on four different covers. So, who are these ladies stealing the limelight from the exhausted array of actresses and pop-stars? Victoria Secret bombshells: Miranda Kerr, Chanel Ima, Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes.
Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers told the press, "We felt it was time to show the sexy side of fashion again, enlisting four of the runway's super seductive," adding, "These covers harken to what made Elle, Elle: Shot outside, drenched in sunlight, color, and of course accessories, the women look right back at you with all the personal and sexual confidence in the world."
Styled by the glossy's Creative Director Joe Zee, the four ladies give this retro 80s-themed photoshoot a seductive twist. Miranda Kerr rocked a YSL skirt, VS bandeau bikini top, Douglas Rosin Decorative chain belt, and jewelry from Verdura and House of Lavande.
I don't know about you, but I am sick of seeing Taylor Swift on the cover of every ladymag and I'm thrilled to see Elle going in a different direction. I think its great to see the faces of fashion on the cover again. Check out the photos and let me know what you think below!
