You gotta feel for Patient Zero. One day, he's just a normal guy, down on his luck and looking for a way to make a life on his own. The next, he's a slavering, infected monster, prowling the streets for flesh. It just goes to show you that if a drug you've been assigned to take as part of a clinical trial gives you superhuman stamina and causes strange, bloody lesions to appear on your face and neck, you might want to consult your doctor. You know, the one that didn't give you the zombie virus in capsule form.
So Patient Zero is a new zombie movie from director Rob Sholty. It's an indie flick that traces the origins of the zombie epidemic all the way back to one dude, one evil formula, and one seriously unlucky mugger. Check out the trailer and you'll see what I mean:
Looks good, right? If you want to see the rest, you should stop by the movie's Kickstarter page and do your part to keep the zombie horde a-shamblin'. Sholty and his team are looking for $30,000 to pay for costumes, make-up, special effects, and all the other gory bits that go into a great zombie movie. They'll need your help to assemble the necessary items, and they're willing to reward your contributions with all sorts of Patient Zero goodies, including exclusive comic book art, online shoutouts, signed DVDs, and more. Zombie fans, I expect you to do your part relentlessly and en masse, in true zombie style.
