Karlie Kloss may have just celebrated her 19th birthday earlier this month, but the American beauty has probably racked up enough stamps on her passport to surpass Anna Wintour herself. For her most recent editorial, Karlie was hand-picked by the editrix for a China-bound editorial in the mag's September issue, so naturally, a cross-country trip from Shanghai to Beijing with photog Mario Testino ensued.

Outfitted in designs from Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Prada and Lanvin, Karlie pulled out all the stops (including her ballet background) for a striking editorial - and she must have really impressed on-set because Anna only had insanely nice things to say in her September letter:
"Karlie Kloss, a delightful presence on the trip and in the pictures; with her intelligence and confidence and affability, she was the perfect ambassador for America. I know Karlie plans to become a doctor when she leaves modeling behind, but should she ever change her mind, medicine's loss could, I think, be diplomacy's gain."
I don't know how a Wintour-approved recommendation would hold up in the medical world, but it's good to have options! Check out the entire editorial below.
