Sporty-chic minimalism is totally having a moment in Alexander Wang's eye — while he spent his summer nabbing a trio of CFDA nods and perfecting his Resort 2012 offering with the launch of swimwear and sneakers, I'm kind of surprised to see the rest of his accessories as fem'd up as they are. Of course, no complaint here.

Wang famously credited vintage photographs of African marathon runners as his Resort inspiration, and while that impetus came through loud and clear for his womenswear offering, I can't exactly see myself running more than a few feet in those mesh and velcro Noemi Ankle Booties. Still, I'll take a cobalt leather tote and citrus bucket bag over a body-con scuba-inspired turtleneck dress and a windbreaker any day. Sorry, Wang, that's just not my style.
