I imagine that every hardworking, self-respecting woman in America woke up this morning to find out the news and they all shared a collective "THANK GOD!"
Huge spoiler alert! Desperate Housewives is being cancelled after the upcoming 2011-2012 season! That's not really a spoiler, and either way, I'm sure you don't care. It's been a long eight years- seriously, eight years, and while I thank ABC every day for bringing Eva Longoria into my life, if I hear the phrase "Wisteria Lane" one more time, I am going to punch a squirrel in the mouth. I confess that the show had a fantastic first season, but died in the second and third, and really has been existing in a strange sort of hellish purgatory ever since. While I really wish that certain TV shows would know how to quit while they're ahead, I don't think that there will be much that will be said about the legacy of Desperate Housewives, other than "Oh, that one show with the one good season that sucked for seven more years?" Yeah, that one!
