So um, you guys know I don't really care about Burn Notice specifically, or like, the USA Network in general. But I can muster up some enthusiasm for a good pun, which is what this is: an actor named Jere Burns has just joined the cast of Burn Notice. LOL.
Protagonist Michael Westen's nemesis was slain in the first episode of this season, so the burned spy and his pals need a new villain, which Burns has been attached to play. In at least 5 and up to 7 episodes of Burn Notice this season, Burns will recur as Anson Fullerton, a clinical psychologist and brilliant human behavior specialist who specializes in working with covert agents. Fullerton must give his government clearance and special access to brutal criminals in order to rescue his kidnapped wife. Wait, that makes him a nemesis? Aite.
Burns has appeared on Breaking Bad and Justified and co-starred on NBC's Family Practice this season. There is potential for Burns' role to carry over to next season as well.
