“Is this even a fair question? Favorite psychological thrillers? There are so many! but I suppose if I had to narrow it down to three they'd be Identity, The Sixth Sense (Kind of cliché?), and Shutter Island. Identity is my absolute favorite because of how the movie is split between two realities that you think at first are directly related to each other somehow, until you find out that one isn't a reality at all. I just think that movie makes psychological thrillers because you actually were inside this tortured and murderous man's head; watching how he has coped with his life and redirected all the traumatic events that happened to him into these people that seem so real. I was blown away by that movie and it's ending is one that has you slumped in your seat thinking about the things our minds are capable of. Also, the book was brilliant as well. Do I even really have to explain why I love The Sixth Sense? He was dead the whole time! Shutter Island was beautiful. Leo won an oscar in my heart for that movie. I was so convince by his character's genuine fear and confusion that I almost wanted to believe that it was all some kind of hoax to make him feel crazy. But what really got me was that last line "Which would be worse? To live as a monster, or die as a good man?" Says it all... I was speechless. Maybe any psychological thriller with Leo in it is one I also love? And for the record I also love, Fight Club, The Matrix, Donnie Darko,The Butterfly Effect and all those other classics. JS”

“My favorite is the classic Hitchcock, Psycho. I know it may be passé to choose this one, but even after the shower scene, the build up to the climax of the movie is one of the most tense, most "make you wonder" set of scenes in any movie I have seen since. I always compare all psychological thrillers and dramas to this movie and to how it made me feel when I watched it.”

Channing Tatum and a psychological thriller--what else could you possibly ask for? Side Effects, the film starring Tatum, Rooney Mara, and Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, comes out on Blu-ray and DVD May 21, and we've got 3 DVD copies to give out!  For those who haven't seen, Side Effects tells the story of Emily Taylor (Mara) undergoes bizarre side effects after her psychiatrist (Law) prescribes her a certain drug. But--as any other thriller--there are way more shockers and twists. (Especially one scene that will make you absolutely gasp.) 'Dark Knight Rises' Teaser Poster and Trailer Info

What a glorious Tuesday morning it is!  The birds are chirping whilst New Yorkers hustle and bustle to their jobs- even the junkies are smiling.  You know why?  Because they heard that the first poster from the highly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises.  Below you'll find the poster and I'll let you know the potential "eggs" that are on it.  Buckle up, nerds.

That previous Dark Knight Rises trailer was fake.

Now, I've heard a lot of things while trolling the fan sites for news recently.  Mostly, the interwebz is a buzz with information on the first teaser trailer.  I kind of held off reporting some news because I couldn't find any credible sources to back up information.  But here's the thing- let's all agree that rumors are rumors and fake sh*t is fake sh*t and we can just share information as a pleasant community.

FACT: The first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will be in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

FACT: It has a running time of 1:26 minutes

RUMOR: The teaser won't just have the Bat Signal, but shots of Selina, Bruce, and Bane.  It will also have a Bane voiceover and (SPOILER?) allusions that Bane will in fact, break Batman's back.  (O...M....G)

 

And now for the poster:

 

OK, shall I take you through the apparent secrets hidden in the poster.  For clarity's sake, let's look at it like a clock face- bottom of the poster is 6 and top is 12.  If you look at about 8:30, right underneath the tip of the batwing, you can kind of see a face on the building reminiscent of the joker.  Some people are also claiming it's the Superman logo.  Anyway, Two Face is hanging out at about 5:30 (apparently) and there's a vague shadow at about 6:30 which could be either a guy in a straight jacket or Batman.

These eggs are hard and hurt my eyes, so here's what I recommend, just enjoy the glory that is the poster.
