Washington Nationals top prospect and monster truck owner Bryce Harper was recently called up to Double-A affiliate Harrisburg. The Senators welcomed Harper as much as he welcomed the change of scenery. You see, it turns out that the 18-year-old was bored as f*ck with the Single-A Hagerstown Suns, so much so that he wasn't too focused for the past 20 games or so. Give or take. We understand that every once in a while one may lose sight of the bigger picture, but Bryce Harper really let himself go. We know that the Hagerstown nightlife is often to alluring to resist. Then again, this is a guy who was
virtually blind and could still hit a baseball, so it's easy to understand how this petty game might bore him.
The Nats make a manwich out of Matt Stairs.
Jim Riggleman says, "F-you, Nats!"
This is Bryce Harper's truck.
In the video, discovered thanks to SportsOlogy favorite Dan Steinberg, Harper goes on to discuss how pitcher Hassan Pena wanted $1,200 to give up Harper's number 34. Bryce doesn't give him the cash, but he does obtain the 34. Shame on the interviewer for not pressing him on what he had to give up.
We can't wait for Harper to make it to the Nats. Let's just hope he doesn't go all Josh Hamilton on us.
