I don't know what happened here, but for some reason, Murs decided to hack off his legendary hip-hop locks, having the helter-skelter dreads chopped off and nappy beard shaved in return for a new clean cut Gary Coleman dome and 5 o'clock shadow. We see it all go down in Frank's Chop Shop in the video below, a decade and more's worth of dreads been taken away, and we don't get a why, but simply a "My name is Murs, you may not recognize me. I'm hot."
Maybe dude is trying to pick up some new tail, maybe he's trading in the microphone for a pressed coller and fax machine — I don't know. I know it's nothing drastic and that the Internet world is being melodramatic, but it is the death of an iconic image. Whatever though. Dude still makes solid music, and I doubt the new cut will force any change.
