Leonardo DiCaprio May Be In Tarantino's 'Django Unchained'

This is some good sh*t coming your way- Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly in negotiations to play the villain in Quentin Tarantino's next film Django Unchained.
The film is about a freed slave who is trained by a German bounty hunter (already rumored to be played by Chirstoph Waltz) in order to kick some ass and take some names so that he can find his wife who is still trapped in slavery.  Apparently Leo would play the plantation owner Monsieur Calvin Candie (his plantation's name is Candyland by the way).  According to Hollywood Reporter, Candie "sexually tortures women slaves while forcing male ones to engage in death matches."
While Candie doesn't appear until about the second hour of the script, it's a killer role that I would love to see Leo dominate.
For a while Will Smith was rumored to play the protagonist Django but now the names floating around are Jamie Foxx or Idris Elba.  Clearly from those three the ranking should be as follows- Idris Elba, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx.  Or just Elba.  I just can't picture Foxx or Smith doing any justice to Tarantino.
What do you think of this rumored casting?
