Though Jason Wu didn't come out on top last night, the CFDA nominee still debuted a real contender of a Resort 2012 Collection. After trying his hand at accessories three years ago, the designer has slipped swimwear — another lucrative pot — into a collection nearly twice the size of last year's. Wu credited Puerto Rico as his source of inspiration, saying, "I went there for New Year’s and a couple times last year. It’s so fun, one of my favorite vacation spots, and on the drive you always see houses in these crazy colors: pink, blue, coral, peach, all with white molding. They almost look like they came out of a set. But they’re actually the most traditional houses, in Old San Juan you can see a lot of it."

The designer created a cohesive collection that's just as tailored as it is whimsical: I'm dying to get my hands on the bandeau bathing suit and I could see a couple of the sheer lace tops making themselves at home in my closet. Check out the rest of the collection below.
