It all started, as they say, with YouTube user BedroomBassist, who discovered the seeds of the Sonic/Gaga union in the bassline of the Flying Battery Zone theme from Sonic & Knuckles. While trying to learn to play this memorable Sonic level tune, the Bassist discovered that the song matched up remarkably well with Lady Gaga's popular single "Bad Romance." When he played "Bad Romance" along with Flying Battery Zone, he created the veritable Reese's Cup of video game/Gaga crossovers (barring any future Moonwalker or Revolution X-ish adaptations of Gaga herself). Known initially as "Bad Battery," or if you prefer, "Flying Romance," the song was eventually refined by YouTube's own spankypark, who polished the original idea to razor-sharpness. Now, the track--"Flying Battery Romance"--is available for fans of blue speedball and singing sensation alike to enjoy. Open your ears, open your heart, and open the tiny chamber hidden in the depths of your soul where you keep your memories of playing Sonic & Knuckles for the first time. And then invite Lady Gaga into all of those places. Here we gooooo!
I don't know what to say about this, other than I think Lady Gaga herself would be psyched to hear it.
