'Titanic 3D'- It's Happening.

Sigh.  More news about how Hollywood thinks that every great movie should be in 3D.  At this rate, they'll be rereleasing Citizen Kane in 3D and a sled will fly at your face.  Anyway, James "Avatar is better than Casablanca" Cameron will be rereleasing Titanic in 3D next year.

And don't worry, Avatar 2 and 3 are coming.

Titanic 3D will be released April 6th, 2012 in order to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the ships maiden/final voyage (April 10th).  The film was originally released in 1997 and became the second highest grossing film of all time, the first being Avatar.  Which is unfortunate because that means James Cameron's ego must be bigger than the Titanic and planet Pandora combined.

I will go see this movie, but I have to admit, I found it recently in my parents old VHS collection.  The movie was so long it was two tapes (lolz, VHS).  But I hate going to see long movies in 3D- I feel as if that's a fast track for a migrane.  Anyway, some of you may remember what a big deal Titanic was- it was so big that scores of girls (my young self included) bought Leonardo DiCaprio posters, books, and every issue of J-14 that he was in.  Not to mention the fact that most of us were so entranced by the story of Titanic we emersed ourselves in History Channel specials on it.  My elementary school even put on a play about the Titanic.  Not to mention- those were the first boobs a lot of guys ever saw.

So yeah, I guess this news is awesome.  But do we really need a 3D version?
