This is a store. It looks like a beach house. It's in Manhattan. Weird? Yes!
Thanks to Tommy Hilfiger, you can experience the full Nantucket beach house vibe and shop at the same time without ever leaving Manhattan. A portable pop-up shop has been constructed in the meatpacking district, but will only be there until Sunday. And get this ... it's called Prep World. The beach cottage is smack dab in the middle of the street, and comes complete with a lawn, shingles, and a dog house.

Hilfiger explains his choice for a Nantucket beach house over a Hamptons house: "Real preppy is really New England. The Hamptons are more a mix of
everything. We want to be as authentic as possible so we say that the
roots are really East Coast, New England."
So here's the real question: Does anyone still wear Tommy Hilfiger? I thought all the prepsters were out at the ivy leagues? Do New Yorkers want more Tommy?
