A little while ago, I discussed my Sophie's Choice-esque feelings about the battle for the leading lady in the new Sascha Baron Cohen film The Dictator. Well, they've finally decided. And the winner is...Anna Faris!
Deadline Hollywood is exclusively reporting that Anna Faris has been offered the role of the leading lady, who is the owner of an organic food store. The Dictator himself (played by Cohen and based on Saddam Hussein) falls for her and she trys to change his authoritative ways.

Getting the rights to the film was difficult, with many production houses vying for Cohen's blessing. In probably what will be my favorite insider story of the year, Paramount only won the rights to produce the film when they sent two goats, that's right, goats, wearing T-shirts with the Paramount logo on them to Cohen and his reps. Oh, and they're paying him $20 million. I would really like to be Sascha Baron Cohen right now. $20 Million and a pet goat? Where do I sign?
