Well, after dropping some asinine album artwork (see below) a few days back, and tossing out the prior release date for his upcoming album, Weezy officially set the date for Tha Carter IV's release for June 21st, which is something to get excited about, I guess (I don't really care).
However, once again, Mack Mane, the guy who told us back at the end of January that the album was relatively finished and ready for the shelves, announced word of the new release date to XXL, so take it as you will, because this guy's already made it fact that he's a liar (don't give me that 'things change' bullsh*t. If you say something like that, then we're taking your word for it).
Anyway, it seems all the hubbub has simmered, and Weezy's latest single "John (If I Die Today)" with Rick Ross has been well-recieved (hit the jump for the music video), so maybe things are picking up for Wayne. I'm a little less pumped for the album's release, but then again, I've always been a lackluster fan.
We don't have much grounds to base this on, but for shits-and-gigs, let's throw out a prediction on the rating of the album. Click the simple little vote button in the poll below, and then take a look at the album artwork if you haven't gasped at it already (don't come in and try to call it "cute" or "creative," because it's not).
