Ronald commented on Win A DVD Of The Psychological Thriller 'Side Effects':
“The Silence of the Lambs (1991)! Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) and Jodi Foster (Clarice Starling) = great on screen chemistry! And in my opinion, The Silence of the Lambs has to be one of the very best psychological thrillers ever produced! It's my favorite! And this was the film that brought Hannibal Lecter into the mainstream and helped spawn the follow-up films, and I'm sure, must have inspired the new TV series Hannibal!”

Stare At Naked Jennifer Lawrence As 'X-Men's Mystique
I don't care what you're doing, I don't care how NSFW the title of this article sounds: it's an article with Jennifer Lawrence in it, so you should be here regardless, and with the fact that the words "naked" and "X-Men" are involved, I'm not sure why the entirety of the internet aren't viewing this article all at the exact same time. X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer tweeted a shot of JLaw on set and the internet should be collectively foaming at the mouth. Though Rebecca Romijn is known for making the legendary role of Mystique famous, Jennifer Lawrence stepped into the infamous nude blue suit for 2011's X-Men: First Class, and will reprise the role—now that, you know, the Hunger Games lead is bigger than she's ever be...

Cindy commented on Win A DVD Of The Psychological Thriller 'Side Effects':
“That is a hard question. There are so many great movies. I would say Silence of the Lambs. Dr. Hanibal Lecter is one of the scariest thriller characters. A great performance by both Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.”

Can Zach Braff Still Be a Movie Star?

Emily Cheever

Zach Braff is still around!  The Scrubs star and Garden State patriarch can be found in the new dark drama The High Cost of Living written and directed by Deborah Chow.  The film, available on demand (or through Amazon.com), made the rounds at festivals with favorable reviews.  The High Cost of Living focus’ on drug dealer Henry Welles (Zach) who hits a pregnant woman causing her to loose the child.  Due to his guilt, Henry goes back to find the woman, Nathalie (played by Isabelle Blais) and strikes up a friendship and romance with her.

But is Zach Braff a movie star?  Or a future ‘Where are they now?’ column?

In a recent interview with Movieline.com, Zach opens up about his love for Scrubs, but desire to move on to more complicated roles after his 8 years at the sitcom.  “It was the best gig an actor could ever hope for...I laughed my ass off with friends for eight and a half years.  I think the onus is on me to prove that I have more tricks in my bag.”  And Zach hasn’t given up on directing, but finds that even with the success of Garden State, having a film come together from script to screen proves to be difficult.  On his project Open Hearts “We actually had a production office open at Paramount and everything.  It fell apart at the last second due to scheduling and budget, as so many movies do.  I’ve personally paid the option on it every year.”

Honestly, I haven’t thought about Zach Braff in ages.  I did love Garden State when it came out but when seeing it recently I don’t fully believe that it stood the test of time.  However, due to the reviews of Braff’s latest endeavor, it seems like the guy might actually be a decent actor- dare I say, a movie star.  I also respect the fact that he pays for his own option for his film so that no one else can taint it- even if it may not be the best business decision.  I just honestly can wrap my head around him being a big deal, not because he doesn't have the talent or drive, but because I just can't decide if he's likable or not, and isn't likability the basis of becoming a star?

The High Cost of Living is available here.  You can read Braff's interview here.

So what do you think?  Does Zach Braff draw any interest for you?
