Fresh off the awards circut for The Social Network, David Fincher's keeping himself busy; he's executive-producing a project called House Of Cards for MRC, based on a book and British miniseries of the same name. This marks the first TV joint for the feature-geared Fincher. And Kevin Spacey, who Fincher directed in Se7en, has just signed on to star.
Spacey will play a British politician towards the end of Margaret Thatcher's reign as prime minister with his eye on Thatcher's position. It was adapted for the screen in miniseries form in the UK back in 1990. It's nice to see Spacey and Fincher working again, and we can't wait to hear that flawless British accent...
