Through ten years and (almost) eight films, we've watched the Harry Potter cast grow up right before our eyes. But no transformation's been as startling as that of Emma Watson, who plays frizzy-haired know-it-all Hermione Granger. Originally intended as an ugly duckling character, Watson's grown into a beautiful, chic young woman who has starred in campaigns for Burberry and Armani.
Earlier this year she chopped all her hair off and rocked a pixie cut, a la Carey Mulligan or Natalie Portman. Look--we love it. But Watson's had to defend it repeatedly, as she said at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.
"Generally the reaction’s been positive but it’s a bit of a shock for some people because it’s different,” said Watson.
We're pro-pixie on Watson... it's a great way to reflect her desire for more adult roles.
