The list of approved candidates for Haiti’s upcoming presidential election was released, and Wyclef Jean’s name was NOT on it. Wyclef had filed papers earlier on this month with his intention of running for president, but it looks like he got aggressively shut down. It could have something to do with the fact that he didn’t really meet the country residency requirement (Wyclef was born in Haiti, but left when he was 9) or the accounting irregularities within his charity, Yele Haiti, but either way, we can know for certain that the rapper will not be donning a suit every morning and running a small country next year. How stupid do you think he feels, especially after making such a public ruckus about it all?
