Brandwatch,
a UK social media analyst firm, researched the Twitter hashtag #fail,
to see what tech brand Twitter users most often associate with failure.
The term “fail” is associated on the internet with a glorious display of
a lack of success, and has become a pretty popular meme. It’s kind of
neat to see it being used for some real research.
So
what brand is it that Tweeps are finding to be the most #fail recently?
None other than Apple. It doesn’t really come as a surprise with
everything that’s happened to them recently: antennagate, for example.
Some criticized Apple in general, while other users mentioned specific
products such as the iPad and iPhone 4.
Apple
may have gotten the most matches at 1204 tweets in the last month, but
other companies are showing signs of failure as well: Facebook, Nokia,
and BBC also made the top #fail companies.
