Just days before Dan Marino broadcasts for the Super Bowl Sunday with the Baltimore Ravens playing against the San Francisco 49ers, a bomb dropped for the ex-Miami Dolphin QB. Turns out the sports broadcaster had an affair back in 2005 and had a love child with a CBS employee.
"They had an affair, and she had a baby," a source tells the New York Post. "Everything was on the down-low and secretive." The woman is Donna Savattere, a then-35-year-old production assistant for the network.
"This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved," Marino recently wrote in a statement.
The baby girl, Chloe, is No. 7 for Marino. He already has six others with his wife Claire. Though he was married for 20 years already at the time of the affair, Marino suggests that his family life is still okay. "My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together," he added. "And we continue to be a strong and loving family."
