“Is this even a fair question? Favorite psychological thrillers? There are so many! but I suppose if I had to narrow it down to three they'd be Identity, The Sixth Sense (Kind of cliché?), and Shutter Island. Identity is my absolute favorite because of how the movie is split between two realities that you think at first are directly related to each other somehow, until you find out that one isn't a reality at all. I just think that movie makes psychological thrillers because you actually were inside this tortured and murderous man's head; watching how he has coped with his life and redirected all the traumatic events that happened to him into these people that seem so real. I was blown away by that movie and it's ending is one that has you slumped in your seat thinking about the things our minds are capable of. Also, the book was brilliant as well. Do I even really have to explain why I love The Sixth Sense? He was dead the whole time! Shutter Island was beautiful. Leo won an oscar in my heart for that movie. I was so convince by his character's genuine fear and confusion that I almost wanted to believe that it was all some kind of hoax to make him feel crazy. But what really got me was that last line "Which would be worse? To live as a monster, or die as a good man?" Says it all... I was speechless. Maybe any psychological thriller with Leo in it is one I also love? And for the record I also love, Fight Club, The Matrix, Donnie Darko,The Butterfly Effect and all those other classics. JS”

“My favorite is the classic Hitchcock, Psycho. I know it may be passé to choose this one, but even after the shower scene, the build up to the climax of the movie is one of the most tense, most "make you wonder" set of scenes in any movie I have seen since. I always compare all psychological thrillers and dramas to this movie and to how it made me feel when I watched it.”

Channing Tatum and a psychological thriller--what else could you possibly ask for? Side Effects, the film starring Tatum, Rooney Mara, and Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, comes out on Blu-ray and DVD May 21, and we've got 3 DVD copies to give out!  For those who haven't seen, Side Effects tells the story of Emily Taylor (Mara) undergoes bizarre side effects after her psychiatrist (Law) prescribes her a certain drug. But--as any other thriller--there are way more shockers and twists. (Especially one scene that will make you absolutely gasp.) The story line isn't necessarily what you think, and will have you talking long after the credits roll.    So, what are your favorite psychological thrillers? 'Easy A' and Teen Sexuality

We already knew that we were going to like Emma Stone's protagonist in the latest teen-adaptation-of-a-classic, Easy A. But who knew the movie would also look so good?

Even though Stone's character Olive can groove to pop music, she's still anonymous in her high school. It's only when she agrees to fake losing her virginity--to preserve her gay friend's social standing--that she gets attention, from all the gross boys who need her help to seem like they've become men. So, in no time at all she is regarded as the school slut. Can you figure out which classic this is cribbed from? Yep, The Scarlet Letter. But Easy A gets extra-meta when, after they study Nathaniel Hawthorne's book in class, Olive decides to embrace her whoredom by donning a bright red A and sashay around school in self-satisfied glee--to the horror of blonde bitch Marianne, played by Amanda Bynes in what seems like a repeat of Mandy Moore's infuriating (in a good way) character in Saved!

The supporting cast looks great: Stanley Tucci, Lisa Kudrow, Thomas Haden Church, Penn Badgley.

It's still a little unclear why Olive decides to wear the A--though she says in her video diary, "I'm not proud of this--unless she's trying to subvert the puritanical accusations in Hawthorne's novel and take charge of her (overblown) sexuality. Either way, we're definitely going to see this smart, sassy adaptation.
