Although there's been speculation regarding a possible overdose, Simon Monjack, husband of late actress Britney Murphy and co-author of her tell-all biography along with Murphy's mother Sharon, was apparently in ill health before he was found dead in his Hollywood home Sunday night.
A spokesman for Monjack and the Brittany Murphy Foundation, Roger Neal, apparently urged the ailing Monjack to undergo heart bypass surgery, according to People. He had already survived oral cancer before Murphy's death in February, and suffered from heart problems the week his wife passed away, but continued stalling the bypass.
Regardless of his condition, Neal is attempting to dispel the OD rumors. We'll see how this plays out once the full autopsy is released.
