Carly Wyant: I feel like we are all on the same page. I was super mad at DD for not just growing a pair and sticking it out!!! I mean @Megan is right, it wasn't the same show without him there. Having said that, I feel like where the show went was, for me, preferable to it turning into a sitcom or soap opera which I feel could have been a very real possibility had DD stayed. It still makes me sad seeing Scully grasp at straws without Mulder there, but I think in the end it really showed off GA's FANTASTIC acting abilities!!

A. O.: Those were hard seasons for sure. I feel what @Megan is saying completely: it was still TXF but it wasn't REALLY - not the same way it was. Although huge character development with Scully was interesting to watch - especially through Gillian.

Ozzie Softballs: I agree with all of you! I don't think they should remake the series... It would never be as good without the original people in it. Seasons 8 and 9 weren't my favorite, mainly because I'm heartbroken the entire time knowing what Scully is going through because of Mulder being gone but the way they played it out is so damn excellent it's ridiculous! I think they did the best with what they had at the end with DD not wanting to be in the series full time.

Megan Orsi: I agree with everything you just said! It's no secret that Seasons 8 and 9 weren't my FAVORITE, but GA was so wonderful. I remember thinking that her character progression was weird. But when I rewatched the series, it made SOOOO much sense. And not only did it make sense, it was such a testament to her loyalty to Mulder. I'm not a fan of the episode Badlaa, but that last scene with her was AWESOME!

Carly Wyant: Right?? I mean if they remade the series today (NOT THAT THEY SHOULD) there would be major issues finding someone who could pull Scully off. Let's be real: She'd have to be subtly gorgeous(!!!), a terrific actor, and have a phenomenal presence, I mean it's impossible to imagine anyone else in that role!!
