If you're somehow still unsure whether to vote to re-elect President Obama this Election Day, there's a little-known singer/songwriter from New Jersey who composed a little tune that, well, just might change your mind a spell. That's right, Bruce Springsteen—semi-official rock 'n' roll spokesman of the Obama campaign—has composed a new campaign song (presumably titled "Forward") that manages to make a pretty good case for Obama without… well, you know… saying much of anything about Obama. At least until the third verse, anyway. ("I was having a hard time finding words that rhyme with Obama… You run out of those real quick.")
Springsteen performed the song (complete with a pretty hilarious introduction in which Obama calls up The Boss to request piano and guitar lessons for his daughters) at a campaign stop in Virginia yesterday. Check it out below.
Honestly, if the horrid thought of eight more years of failed economic and social policies under Romney isn't enough to convince you to vote Obama, then the thought of Bruce Springsteen having some "eh, okay" sex in Virginia will surely do the trick. Four more years! Four more years!
