'New Girl' Sneak Peek: Jess And Nick's First Date Has Its Bumps
After many douche jar moments, a repeat-worthy kiss (about 437x), and a fish tank mess, Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) are finally going on their very first kiss together! New Girl may not have aired a new episode Tuesday, but a brand new one is coming your way this Thursday! "Fancyman" will show the two having a rough start to the night, as Jess is initially confused if she's in fact on a first date.

Tuesday's have become a must-see night of television, and that's all thanks to FOX and its very strategic schedule that seems to be working. Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project were just picked up for full seasons after only two aired episodes. The freshman comedies may have gotten some help by being placed on opposite sides of Zooey Deschanel's hit, but it seems as though the storylines would have been a favorite to viewers even if slotted on another night.
New Girl has returned for its second season, and is a staple in most audience's schedules every week. Schmidt getting rid of his penis cast and Jess and Nick already discussing their relationship has been a plus for many.
Though the "It's Jess!" crew is probably No. 1 though, what's your favorite comedy out of the three? Is there one you rush to see compared to another that goes straight to DVR? Take the poll below and check out the trailers for the series if you haven't gotten a chance to yet!
Ben and Kate
If the sweet brother and sister relationship between Ben and Kate didn't get you the first time, than the car scene with him trying not to curse in front of his niece must have. It may not have a barrel of constant laughs, but this new comedy will make you smile for 30 minutes straight. Dakota Johnson is adorable as Nat Faxon is finally getting noticed as the hilarious actor he really is.
New Girl
Critics were right when they thought of New Girl as a mix of Friends and Seinfeld. All that was left out was a douche jar. The series is genius with the adorkable Jess now kicking it up a notch in season two with her roommates Nick, Schmidt and Winston. The characters are so eccentric that you don't know whether you want to be one of them or just their apartment neighbor.
The Mindy Project
This series works because it's what every girl can relate to: Tom Hanks films, love stories and that one perfect moment where you find the guy of your dreams. But of course, with all the waiting around inbetween. Mindy's comedy timing was obvious from the start with her writing on The Office, but this time she's got a very cute Chris Messina to take the place of Jim Halpert.
