I figure it's safe to assume none of us were awake around 8:30 this morning, so you might be remiss to learn that you missed Green Day on Good Morning America, performing new songs "Oh Love" and "Stay The Night" off their trilogy-opening new album ¡Uno! (out September 25) and fan favorites "Holiday" (complete with "Free Pussy Riot!" addendum) and "Basket Case."

I'll leave the "Good Morning America, how oh so punk rock!" whinging to others; suffice to say, the band sounded great, even amidst the laughably silly lyric censoring (wait, you can't say "whore" or "stoned" on TV?) and the show's obnoxious insistence on sandwiching each Green Day performance with background audio of the same song. So Green Day can't say "stoned," but ABC can roll tape of them saying it immediately afterwards? George Carlin is rolling in his grave.
Anyways, check out a video replay of three of the Good Morning America performances below, courtesy of The Audio Perv.
