It's never a bad time to be a Massive Attack… but if you do happen to enjoy the rugged stylings of the legendary Bristol trip-hop trio, well, now's a particular good time for you. Not only is the group currently holed up in their hometown studios, starting work on their sixth studio album (and officially follow-up to 2010's disappointing… at least I thought… cameo-packed Heligoland), they've also announced plans to re-release their landmark 1991 album Blue Lines on CD and vinyl this fall.

Out November 20, the completed remixed and remastered album (which more or less single-handedly invented trip-hop and firmly cemented the "Bristol sound" onto the musical map) will be available digitally, on CD and in a deluxe edition box set which will include the CD, a DVD of high-resolution audio files, two 180g vinyl LPs and the original 1991 Blue Lines promo poster. Not too shabby.
