While Kay Slay managed to pull together most of the TDE crew for his latest single, the lack of Ab-Soul continues to support the dismissing of Black Hippy in terms of putting out tracks together (I don't know why Ab-Soul wasn't present though--maybe from touring), but with ScHoolboy, K.Dot and Jay Rock on the roster, DJ Kay Slay's latest track "Highway To Hell" from his The Return of the Gate Keeper mixtape delivers most of what we could hope for.
The high-hitting instrumentals offer enough of a listen on their own, but the inclusion of the TDE elite bring together what I have no problem calling one of the best tracks from the last few weeks. K.Dot delivers brilliantly as usual, ScHoolboy adds his element, but Jay Rock's presence is probably my favorite considering he's been a little more M.I.A. compared to his associates.
Here's "Highway To Hell"; give it a listen, throw up your thoughts, and pick up Kay Slay's tape over at datpiff.
