What's Atoms For Peace, you ask? So glad you did—it's a pretty beyond cool super group slash side project featuring Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and drummers Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco that dates back to 2009, when Yorke finally got around to touring his glitch-pop solo album The Eraser. "We got a big buzz from them and discovered loads of energy from transforming the music from electronic to live," Yorke has since explained, "And so afterwards, we carried on for a few days in the studio and decided to make it a loose, on-going thing…"
The group hasn't let much new music slip through the cracks yet (see above), but this week, the band debuted a brand new single called "Default" while announcing its debut album will finally be arriving sometime next year. Check it out below.
