As previously reported, Tori Amos' new album Gold Dust (out October 2) will feature all new orchestral reworkings of 14 of her classical songs. Though I can't say I really remember it the first time around, Abnormally Attracted To Sin's "Flavor" makes an interesting choice for first single—especially in its accompanying music video, set to the stirring backdrop of New York City's gritty outer boroughs, filled with a, well, flavorful cast of local characters.
Firstly, yes, I miss my city. And secondly, if you've never lived in or spent an extended amount of time in New York, yes, this is what we all look like. Come visit? Tori herself seems to fit in pretty seamlessly with the various kooky populations—in a lot of shots, she barely seems to know or care where she is, which, funny enough, is a pretty essential part of the NYC experience.
