Matthew commented on Album Review: The National – 'Trouble Will Find Me':
“Rather than considering this unable to break through the "hazy murk", I think it embraces it, something they've done on only the occasional track prior to this album. Album Reviews
Back when singles began to leak out early last year from Tyga’s delay-stricken Young Money/Cash Money debut Careless World, he marked down that we could expect to see artistic growth in his brand of hip-hop, and while the internationally applauded “Rack City” suggests everything otherwise, the majority of the tracklist is true to his statement. When you open the album, the kingship interlude brings immediate thoughts of CyHi Da Prynce’s Royal Flush 2 mixtape or Big K.R.I.T.’s pair of Last King mixtapes, not to mention decades’ worth of the motif throughout hip-hop, making the entire theme suspect to photocopying. The opener “Careless World” is already marked with the scarlet letter for getting tied in controversy with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. estate, so before it even hit the headphones, Carless World was open for unjustified bias... http://ology.com/music/album-review-careless-world-rise-last-king-tyga/02272012
