Damn, Shia LaBeouf.
The actor, 26, whose new film Lawless comes out tomorrow, says he will no longer be starring in blockbuster movies, and instead will focus on independent films – some of which call for some hefty tasks.

LaBeouf, whose previous films include the Transformers series, Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Disturbia, is currently taking a "Method-like" approach to his acting, claims John Hillcoat, LaBeouf’s Lawless director. For Hillcoat’s film – a tale about bootleggers - LaBeouf consumed real moonshine.
And he's not slowing down.
For his role in the upcoming mob movie The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, LaBeouf admits to tripping on acid to connect with his character. "There’s a way to do an acid trip like Harold & Kumar," LaBeouf tells USA Today. "And there’s a way to be on acid," adding that the experience became "too real for a (director) who’s trying to keep a diplomatic set."
LaBeouf's next project, The Nymphomaniac, requires the actors to engage in real sex, something that LaBeouf is willing to do. (He also appeared full-frontal in Sigur Ros' NSFW music video for the song, "Fjogur Piano.")
Though LaBeouf told the Associated Press that he's "not choosing to be naked all the time," and that he "didn't get into [acting] to be a porn guy," he can appreciate a role that calls for actual intimacy. "I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sex. Sex is beautiful if it's done right," he tells USA Today.
Still, there are some things that LaBeouf won't do for a role, telling the newspaper: "I have ethics. I'm not completely out of my mind."
