Cat Power Vows To "Leave America" In Bizarre Instagram Rant
No judgments or thoughts, really, but yes, Cat Power's Chan Marshall did post a truly bizarre rant on the official Cat Power Instagram account yesterday, promising to "leave America" due to the "powers that be" "[raping] this earth with its lies, protection of wealth, and vicious slayings."

There's a lot to love about Brooklyn faux-pop-metal duo Sleigh Bells (the denim jackets, the Jackson guitars, Alexis Krauss, etc.) but their always awkward insistence on pairing Krauss' breathy, ethereal voice with those sputtering Slayer kick drum loops and strutting, SNL digital short style pop-hop vocal rhythms have never and will never make that list. May I present Exhibit A: the brand new music video for Reign Of Terror track "End Of The Line," directed by Gregory Kohn and the band's very own Derek Miller. Would that it were half as interesting as that Anthony Bourdain teaser…
Check it out below.
Don't want to be the one to come right out and say it's a boring video… but, well, Derek on a bike plus shots of Alexis in a Carrie nightgown equals… what, exactly? Compare and contrast it with the "Comeback Kid"and "Demons"videos and tell me this isn't more than a little meh. Don't get me wrong, I love Alexis Krauss as much as the next pasty white heterosexual, but is she really the wandering around in the desert type? Shrug. On the plus side, Derek's yellow Jackson matches the spokes of his bicycle. That's what we film school graduate types like to call, "…oh, okay."
