Sorry, ladies—he's officially taken. As reported by the New York Post, lavish singing-songwriting one-man sensation Rufus Wainwright married his longtime partner, producer Jorn Weisbrodt, at their home in Montauk, New York yesterday. According to the Post, the pair (whose daughter Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen was born last February) exchanged vows before a small who's-who of guests including Yoko Ono, Lou Reed, Mark Ronson, actress Julianne Moore and others.
“It’s been an incredible experience," Rufus toldPaste Magazine earlier this year. "No, you know, there are ups and downs and it’s a real challenge to keep it afloat in such a wild, artistic environment. And of course, like anything, you look at the returns are far greater, and last longer.”
Speaking of wild environments, the wedding reception reportedly went down at the Clam Bar in Napeague, where each guest left with a jar of plum jam bearing the inscription "Rufus + Jorn's Hochzeit" ("wedding" in German). Very rock 'n' roll, right? Congratulations, you crazy kids! Best wishes.
