Felix Hernandez received a hero's welcome in Seattle last night, and the Mariners wisely capitalized on King Felix's perfect game to throw draw nearly 40,000 fans to Safeco Park for a "Yellow Out" in Felix's honor. The results were pretty spectacular, as Hernandez pitched a gem, allowing just one run over 7 and 2/3 innings, and the Mariners beat the Indians 5-1 in front of those screaming yellow fans.
Mariners fans were given yellow t-shirts and yellow placards with the letter 'K' on them (K for strikeout, K for King) on their way into the stadium, and the scene produced some pretty cool photos. Here's some of the best:

Don't look now, but the Mariners have won 14 of their past 15 games at home, and are 7.5 games out of the AL wild card race. Too long a longshot? Probably, but stranger things have happened.
