Listen: if you haven't learned by now that you don't go around fiddling with Russia's buttons, then you obviously haven't kept much of an eye on history; it's pretty common knowledge that they're going to get pissed off at basically anything, thus exhibited by their recent actions against Madonna via a lawsuit because she waffle-stomped an orthodox cross while on stage at a concert in St. Petersburg.
The Trade Union of Russian Citizens have filed a 33 million rubles (also known as roughly $10 million) lawsuit because of her actions, which are being described as an act of rebellion against the city's recent passing of a law banning "gay propaganda." In regards to the asininely large amount of money being asked for, it was explained as an antidote "for offending the feelings of believers and the cultural traditions of city residents."
Lawyer Alexander Pochuyev explained further:
"[This is] a civilized, modern and popular way of defending their rights--by filing a lawsuit. No one burned anyone at the stake or used the inquisition. Modern civilization requires religious tolerance and respect of other values."
I'm not meddling with this one because I'm probably already due to receive a lawsuit from Russia because I said they were a "touchy" country, so just hit up the video below to see the cross stomp while I change my mailing address.
