Let Dancing with the Stars season 16 begin! The new cast was revealed Tuesday morning, and it has brought up and confirmed many suspicions. On the same week ABC announced the Dancing with the Stars All-Stars, Olympian Hope Solo has dropped a bombshell on her old partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. In her new book, Solo: A Memoir of Hope, the 31-year-old soccer player is revealing that the professional dancer mishandled her during rehearsals.

"He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went -- how dancers worked with each other," she wrote. "But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day."

Hope apparently had a chance to switch partners with the Ukranian-born dancer, but she decided to stay put so that it wouldn't hurt his career.

Since the book reveal, Maks has taken to his Twitter with a very cryptic tweet. Could it be about his old friend? "Always hated hypocrites and liars, but when someone is both and an opportunist, I just feel bad for them," he wrote. "Can't win at someone's expense."

This news is absolutely shocking, especially because the two seemed so friendly on the dance floor. Could it be true? Is this why Maks seems to always have issues with the judges? Comment below your thoughts!
