One of the few downsides of this job? The inability to just kick back and watch VH1's Pop-Up Video all day. Come to think of it, that's probably a downside to most jobs. In any case, the '90s music video staple is (as you've probably noticed) back in a big way, tackling new videos from the likes of The Black Keys, Radiohead, Norah Jones, Coldplay and more. Since it's Friday, I thought maybe we could all feel a little more at home by checking out the Pop-Up Video version of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" video, directed by film auteur (and Jackass creator, as you might be about to learn) Spike Jonze.

Check it out below. There may or may not be a quiz at the end.
Okay, so, things I learned about Spike Jonze's "The Suburbs"…
- The group of BMX-bike-riding teenagers was not, in fact, Arcade Fire.
- I'm not the only one who vomits in the mere presence of wool.
- During Friday Night Lights football seasons, there were actually armed, ski-mask wearing military platoons patrolling the streets just slightly off camera. On a related note…
- The Alamo Freeze was actually a Dairy Queen. Heart = broken. On a related note…
- Dairy Queen has 99-cent Blizzard nights?? Has this been happening my entire life and no one has bothered to tell me? On a related note…
- It's not actually a related note, but if you want to watch the entire 30-minute Scenes From The Suburbs short film, that's the link up above.
See? This has been both fun and educational? "Gee, and I thought Fridays were supposed to be the lamest day of the week!" said no one ever. What have you guys learned about Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" video? Share your favorite discoveries with the class in our comments section below.
