August is quickly shaping up to be a great month for Elliott Smith fans. Next Monday (August 6) would have been the Portland singer/songwriter's 43rd birthday and to celebrate, his former indie label Kill Rock Stars are rolling out a whole series of special sales, events, reissues and special releases.

Kill Rock Stars have also announced plans to reissue Either/Or and the 1995 self-titled album on 180-gram vinyl this month in addition to offering their An Introduction to Elliott Smith compilation for $4.99 all day on August 6.
