Gabriel commented on Giancarlo Stanton Monster Homerun Sunday Versus the Cubs:
“Amazing home run. Few players in baseball can hit that ball so hard and far. Can't wait for Stanton to earn freedom from the glorified AAA team Marlins and play for a real MLB club.”
A Minor League umpire ejected the music man for playing an organ rendition of "Three Blind Mice" at a game on Wednesday betwee the Dayton Cubs and Fort Myers Miracle." Today, video of the incident has poppep up on the internet. And as the TV announcer says, it is "AWESOME."
"YOU'RE GONE!" the umpire hollers as he gives music Dude Derek Dye the thumb, just a few notes into the song. "The guy playing three blind mice. Turn the sound off for the rest of the night."
It takes the TV announcers a minute to understand what has just happened, and once they do, they are so giddy they can't hardly contain themselves.
"Derek Dye was just ejected from the game!" one of them says with great delight. "That is AWESOME. That is absolutely awesome. DEREK DYE WAS EJECTED FROM THE GAME! Wow! That is soooo cool!"
It is. It was. Absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a minor league baseball game. The best part of it is, thanks to our good friend The Internet, we all get to watch the video and laugh at the idiot ump who just couldn't help himself. The umpire's name is Mario Seneca. May he live long in the bush leagues, and never prosper.
