If we're going to be honest, then let's do so: 50 Cent doesn't exactly seem to have too many friends save for those lackeys, halfway DJs (Pauly D) and emcee underlings that follow behind lapping up the monetary excrement he maintains through his continual business ventures; however, Eminem has remained a loyal pal to the rapper who got rich and almost died tryin', and in a recent interview on Channel 995 in Detroit, Slim shared his thoughts on their friendship:
“Ever since we started making music with Fif, it was always like a mutual respect thing and we became friends outside of the music. 50 is very big on the business aspects of his career. I would consider him a smart businessman. Not saying that I’m not, but I don’t get into as much of the technical aspect in the business sense. I have no idea what’s going on—ever. I don’t even know where I’m at right now.”
There's a certain harmony in there somewhere buried beneath the gusto begging to be purged and the obvious want to proclaim true feelings on the topic, but we'll let it roll for now.
Outside of that, Em shared some details on the status of his album, but the words were almost verbatim rehashes from previous interviews he's given:
“I actually started my album."
If you really search, you'll find some important details in there. In the mean time, keep an eye out for Shady Records wrecking crew Slaughterhouse, who are dropping their Em-produced debut welcome to: OUR HOUSE not far from now.
