Listen Up: Wale Drops "Love Hate Thing" From 'The Gifted'
So, Wale is in the prime pace of his promo for his upcoming Maybach Music Group sophomore release, The Gifted, and to follow-up his previous single, we've got a new track titled "Love Hate Thing" to give us an idea of what to expect from the LP. Instrumentally, the sounds here are on point (not sure who produced it; if you know, share), but, talking on Wale, I'm not digging it, essentially in the same way that I haven't cared for anything he's done since joining MMG. That's whatever though. Here's a bit about the track that he shared on Twitter: "The idea behind "lovehate thing" is what comes with shine.Passive aggressive hate from those closest to u. I feel like everybody can relate" That aside, we also caught some word that, despite the album release coming up, he's still staying busy on his Album About Nothing:

Ryan Lochte's Olympic Grill Designed By Paul Wall

Ryan Lochte
2012 Olympic Games
Ology Hip-Hop

If you really think about it, this one's pretty obvious: white guy donning a ridiculous grill for the sake of imprint rather than fashion after winning a Gold medal in swimming at the 2012 Olympics. Replace a few details there with Houston rap and public image, and you've got a spitting image of Paul Wall, who designed Gold medalist Ryan Lochte's American flag grill that was shown off on the champion's podium.

Paul, alongside partner Johnny Dang, shared some of the story with XXL following the worldwide media convulsion over the event:

"For him to represent us and our culture, the grill culture, it's just shining a light on hip-hop in the Olympics," Paul said. "Everyone's talking about it... it's just an incredible thing to be part of. I'm just honored to be part of it. There's not too many world-class swimmers wearing our grill."

The grill, which contains the lion's share of diamonds and rubies, is valued between $15,000-$25,000, and, as is told by Wall, was picked up by Lochte for a cheap fee.

"Of course we gave him the Olympic discount."

Paul foolishly went on to say that any other American that wins Olympic gold can pick up a free customized grill, so, you know, if you're in the Olympics, there's some incentive.
