Take some notes, Madonna—this is how you play a show!
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band wrapped up the European leg of their ongoing Wrecking Ball tour last night by kicking out a self-record-breaking 4 hour, 6 minute, 33 song concert that included an unscheduled pre-show acoustic set and an astounding 10-song encore, complete with the band's now ubiquitous, sometimes law-breaking run through "Twist and Shout."
Bruce is notorious for proving it all night… often keeping fans on their feet for upwards of three to three-and-a-half hours… but last night's Olympic Stadium gig in Helsinki, Finland is definitely one for the ages. "How the hell does the man keeping doing it?" my father just responded about five minutes ago, "Just buckets of sweat pouring out of him!" Massive respect for The Boss, from one Bruce to another.
