Bruce Springsteen Breaks Own Record With Four-Plus Hour Concert

Take some notes, Madonna—this is how you play a show!

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band wrapped up the European leg of their ongoing Wrecking Ball tour last night by kicking out a self-record-breaking 4 hour, 6 minute, 33 song concert that included an unscheduled pre-show acoustic set and an astounding 10-song encore, complete with the band's now ubiquitous, sometimes law-breaking run through "Twist and Shout."

Bruce is notorious for proving it all night… often keeping fans on their feet for upwards of three to three-and-a-half hours… but last night's Olympic Stadium gig in Helsinki, Finland is definitely one for the ages. "How the hell does the man keeping doing it?" my father just responded about five minutes ago, "Just buckets of sweat pouring out of him!" Massive respect for The Boss, from one Bruce to another. Check out the staggering setlist below, courtesy of Backstreets Magazine.

Acoustic Set:

"I'll Work For Your Love"
"Leap Of Faith"
"No Surrender"
"For You"
"Blinded By The Light"

Main Set:

"Rockin' All Over The World"
"Night"
"Out In The Street"
"Loose Ends"
"We Take Care Of Our Own"
"Prove It All Night ('78 Intro)"
"Wrecking Ball"
"Death To My Hometown"
"My City Of Ruins"
"Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street?"
"Be True"
"Jack Of All Trades"
"Downbound Train"
"Because The Night"
"Lonesome Day"
"Darlington County"
"Light Of Day"
"Shackled And Drawn"
"Waitin' On A Sunny Day"
"Back In Your Arms"
"The Rising"
"Badlands"
"Land Of Hope And Dreams"

Encore:

"We Are Alive"
"Born In The U.S.A."
"Born To Run"
"Detroit Medley"
"Glory Days"
"Dancing In The Dark"
"Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out"
"I Don't Want To Go Home"
"Higher And Higher"
"Twist And Shout"

Um, holy paska, you guys. "Is there anybody alive out there?!" If they weren't before, they sure as hell now! Bruce and the E Street Band are doubling back to North America later this fall, so if it's humanly possible for you to make it, do your internal organs a serious favor and go, go, go!

Brett Warner: Two fans in the audience had sex to "Blinded By The Light" and then gave birth to a daughter during "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out." Unconfirmed rumor.
