While the drama and laughs bring us in, it's the characters we grow to love that make us stick around and watch our favorite shows. And maybe it's just me, but most of the time, my favorite character is not the "lead" one. It's the sidekick or supporting character who makes me relate to the show. It's that person I'm always hoping gets more than five seconds of screen time.
Here are 7 of my favorite television sidekicks and scene-stealers!
Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments!

Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)
Why We Love Him: Stiles brings the funny, for sure. But it's the vulnerable moments between him and his dad, or him and Lydia, that really make us swoon. And who else would stick by their best friend-turned-werewolf even if it meant risking their life?

Pacey Witter (Dawson's Creek)
Why We Love Him: The show could have just centered around Pacey Witter and I don't think anyone would have cared. He was the screwup-turned-hero we all rooted for. And what do ya know? He even got the girl in the end.

Dwight Shrute (The Office)
Why We Love Him: Between Michael's complete lack of self-awareness and Jim's adorable charm, Dwight always has the perfect comedic timing, even if it is unintentional.

Landry Clarke (Friday Night Lights)
Why We Love Him: It's not easy being the sidekick to someone as self-deprecating yet totally likeable as Matt Saracen. When Landry stepped out into his own storylines, we couldn't help but follow.

Nolan Ross (Revenge)
Why We Love Him: His loyalty to Emily never falters, despite her often crazy requests. If we needed anyone on our side in the event of a catastrophe or scandal, it'd be Nolan Ross.

Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)
Why We Love Him: The writers were going to kill off Jesse in season 1, but much like us, they grew to love him in spite of his bad boy addictions. Not to mention, his relationship and unspoken connection with "Mr. White" is one of the best on television.

Cristina Yang (Grey's Anatomy)
Why We Love Her: Before she got her own storyline and Sandra Oh was receiving Emmy nods left and right, Cristina acted as the ever-practical voice of reason for her dark-and-twisty bestie Meredith Grey.
