With TeenNick's hit series entering its third week of face-offs and shocking moments, it's been quite a quiet year for Jenna Middleton, hasn't it? After a previous season of having a baby with her ex and tearfully giving him up for adoption (and ending her relationship shortly after), you figure life at Degrassi couldn't get much more intense for a girl just looking to be happy. But on tonight's episode (entitled "Closer To Free, Part 1"), Jenna Middleton meets Degrassi: Showdown and things are about to get real when she meets new girl Becky Baker, who's already ruffled some feathers with her personal views.

Actress Jessica Tyler spills some deets on how the new girl will affect her journey at school, hinting that it won't be an easy one. "Jenna does have things happen this season that people wouldn’t normally expect," she explains. "She and Becky get along good, but then within talks, Becky is a very religious person, and Jenna is looking for a way to positively move on from her past." But of course, that doesn't mean Becky is all good: "She likes to get into people’s drama," Tyler says, "she’s very intrusive in her own little way."
But even if Jenna gets the eyes for Becky's other brother Luke, it's not like her ex KC is completely out of her life, as Tyler reveals that the two will share some moments in the new season. "Last season, I really think they need their time apart; they went through so much," she reveals. "But they’re not going to pass each other in the hallway and look the other way. They’ll always have some type of communication with each other."
Degrassi: Showdown is all new TONIGHT through Thursday at 10pm on TeenNick.
