Considering that nomination season is typically either disappointing and bewildering (or some combination of the two), it’s always nice to see great television shows get recognized for their quality—because God knows I couldn’t bare to see The Big Bang Theory win more things. At the Television Critics Association’s annual awards ceremony last Saturday, a number of great television programs were recognized by the association for their work in the television medium, including Breaking Bad for its achievements in Drama and Louie for its achievements in comedy. But it was fan-favorite Game of Thrones that brought home the big prize, winning the award for Program of the Year and validating my firm belief that Game of Thrones truly is the greatest thing ever and you must be a simpleton if you don’t agree.
Below are all the winners:
Individual Achievement in Drama: Claire Danes, Homeland
Individual Achievement in Comedy: Louis C.K., Louie
Outstanding Achievement in News and Information: 60 Minutes
Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming: So You Think You Can Dance

Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials: Masterpiece: Downton Abbey
Outstanding Achievement in Drama: Breaking Bad
Outstanding Achievement in Comedy: Louie

Personally, I feel pretty good about the winners. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments.
