It's still a little surreal having No Doubt back… and realizing exactly how long it's been since their last batch of new music. Gwen Stefani & Co. greeted a very excited group of fans at 30 Rock last night, performing busy new single "Settle Down" on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and inadvertently delivering the best possible response to Fred Willard's porno theater shenanigans. (i.e. "Get in line and settle down…")

Oh my god, the studio audience cannot handle that No Doubt are there. It's awesome. Gwen Stefani meanwhile hasn't aged a single day since Rock Steady, filling out (so to speak) a black suit coat and Size 62 cargo pants while Tony Kanal giddily doesn't want to work slash bangs on the drum all day. Wasn't blown away the first time I heard it, but I've got to admit, "Settle Down" just sounds better and better each time. It's less of an obvious pop crossover than I think myself and others expected—which, after such a long wait, will be a real treat for the longtime fans.
That album cover, though? Whole different story. Buzz, your girlfriend… woof.
